En su tercera edición, el Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest 2011 convoca a realizadores, cineastas independientes y productores interesados en difundir su trabajo en Hispanoamérica a que sometan sus cortometrajes y largometrajes dentro de los géneros de horror, suspenso, gore, bizarro, humor negro y ciencia ficción.
Rafi Mediavilla, director ejecutivo del Festival, indicó que “la oferta del Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest será una extensa y variada que tiene de todo para los que disfrutan del buen cine de horror, suspenso y fantasía. Habrá premieres mundiales de varias películas, además de seminarios especializados y visitantes de la industria del cine de género".
Este festival de cine, único en su clase en Puerto Rico y el Caribe, es miembro de la Alianza Latinoamericana de Festivales de Cine Fantástico y se llevará a cabo del 13 al 19 de octubre del 2011. Se espera que este año participen países como Argentina, México, España, Canadá, Italia, Chile, Alemania, Cuba, Uruguay, Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico, Hungría, Holanda, Pakistán, Israel y Brasil.

In its third edition, the Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest 2011 calls on all directors, independent filmmakers and producers interested in having their work shown and promoted in Spanish America to submit their short films and feature films in the horror, suspense, gore, bizarre, black humor and science fiction genres.
Festiival Executive Director Rafi Mediavilla, stated that “the Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest offering will be an extensive and varied one that promises something for everyone who enjoys good horror, suspense and fantasy filmmaking. A number of films will have world premieres at the Festival. In addition, the Festival will hold several specialized seminars and will host visiting filmmakers in the horror genre.”
This film festival, the only one of its kind in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, is a member of the Alianza Lationamericana de Festivales de Cine Fantástico and will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico from October 13 to 19, 2011. As in years past, organizers anticipate receiving entries from countries such as: Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Canada, Italy, Chile, Germany, Cuba, Uruguay, United States, Puerto Rico, Hungary, Holland, Pakistan, Israel and Brazil.
